The Challenge
Our Solution
HPWS designed a compact, high purity water system that allowed for future flexibility and added capacity. The RO water is polished and recirculated through service deionization tanks (SDI), UV, and sub-micron final filtration in order to achieve CSA-Z314-18 specifications for MDRD. HPWS commonly designs healthcare water systems with redundancy or even double redundancy in mind. In this instance, multiple SDI tanks were plumbed in place with bypass valving to allow for a temporary bypass system in the event of an emergency.
The system was delivered and installed successfully despite a very tight timeline and persistent supply chain issues. As with most HPWS installations, the system is covered under a preventative maintenance agreement. This ensures that the equipment is consistently functioning in accordance with the specification while providing the added reassurance of having access to a 24/7 emergency service if required.
