The Challenge
A leading central chemistry lab in Canada experienced a building-wide electrical failure during off-hours, caused by an issue with their incoming power supply. While unrelated to the water system itself, this outage shut down the lab’s water room, cutting off the purified water supply from the Reverse Osmosis (RO) and Electrodeionization (EDI) systems. Without high purity water, the lab’s chemistry analyzers were inoperable, putting time-sensitive analyses at risk. The lab needed an immediate solution to prevent data loss and operational downtime.
Our Solution
HPWS sprang into action with a coordinated, all-hands emergency response. Our 24/7 service team was on-site immediately, diagnosing the issue and implementing a rapid bypass solution. Simultaneously, our regeneration team mobilized, delivering over ten (10) Deionization (DI) tanks to restore critical water flow. Behind the scenes, our engineering and administrative support teams worked in sync to manage logistics, provide technical guidance, and ensure a smooth response.
This level of responsiveness, commitment to quality, and cross-departmental collaboration is what sets HPWS apart. Our culture of teamwork, relentless focus on service quality, and ability to mobilize resources across multiple disciplines make us uniquely positioned to support critical laboratory operations across Canada. Within hours, the lab was back online, ensuring uninterrupted research and analysis in one of Canada’s most important chemistry facilities.
